Each gage is shipped with .072” diameter contact points, however; each set of contact points is interchangeable to allow measuring different thread forms. Contact point diameters are manufactured to tolerances of +.0002”.
The ET-7000 gage requires no setting master to inspect parts.

Indicators Gages

Gagemaker sells replacement indicators for all Gagemaker products, as well as indicators for many special applications. These instruments conform to AGD standards, which ensures excellent performance and interchangeability.
Indicators include various resolutions and travel, depending on the application. Both inch and metric graduations are available. The smallest graduations for inch are: .0001”, .0005”, and .001”, while the smallest graduations for metric are: 0.005 mm and 0.01 mm.

The TH-3000 series of gages inspect variations in thread height for a variety of thread forms. All gage models use a precision contact point that seats in the thread of the part during inspection. The gages are supplied with various base configurations to fit the particular thread form being inspected.
Some of the TH-3000 gages require zeroing on a setting standard before inspecting parts.

Lead Gages

Lead Gages

The lead gage inspects both internal and external thread leads using contact points that seat in the threads of a part. Thread lead is the distance between threads, measured on a plane parallel to the centerline of the threaded part. The pitch of the thread determines the diameter of the contact points required for taking measurements.

The LG-5002 uses a two-point system to inspect thread lead for ACME, Stub ACME, UN or API threads. The two points allow for a sweeping action to obtain the measurement.

The LG-5003 uses a three point system to inspect thread lead for ACME, Stub ACME, UN or API threads. Two fixed points at the rear of the gage and one movable contact point at the front of the gage provide complete stability when taking thread lead measurements. This unique design does not require sweeping to obtain measurements. Plus, contact points are easily relocated or changed to allow the thread lead gage to be used on a variety of thread forms.

Before inspecting parts, the lead gage must be preset to a nominal predetermined dimension using a lead gage setting standard. These setting standards are manufactured according to ANSI and API specifications. Lead standards are available for ACME, Stub ACME, UN and API threads.

MRP Series Pitch Diameter and Ovality Gages Tapered Threads

The MRP 1000, 2000 and 3000 series of gages measures internal and external pitch diameters of tapered threaded connectors. These gages use two pivoting thread shoes that rest on the crests of the threads. Thread shoes are manufactured from hardened steel to resist wear and should reach across a minimum of three thread crests during inspection. Any variations in pitch diameter detected are shown on the gage’s indicator. The MRP gages must be preset to size before inspecting parts, and a variety of setting standards are available (refer to the appropriate setting standards price sheet for MRP Series Gages).

PD-3000 Series Pit Depth Gages

The PD-3000 Series of gages inspects the depth of surface pitting. Each model of the PD-3000 gage includes the gage base, an indicator with .001” resolution, and a standard TPD 3/8” long contact point with a .020” end radius.
The PD-3000 gage is supplied with a .001” resolution indicator.
Require zeroing on a flat surface before inspection.
The gage also accepts other types and sizes of contact points for use in other applications, such as groove and thread depth inspection.

PN-3000 Series Pin Seal Diameter Gages

The PN-3000 Series of gages inspect critical pin seal diameters on premium connectors ranging from 2 3/8”-13 3/8”. The gage also inspects seal tapers with the addition of stand-off plates. Each model covers a specific range of connection sizes, making the PN-3000 gages very versatile and economical.
These gages must be preset to a nominal predetermined dimension using gage blocks, Gagemaker’s Pin Seal Diameter Gage Setting Master, or Frame Standards.
The PN-3000 gage is supplied with a .0005” resolution indicator.

Profile Gages

PROFILE GAGES

The TP Series of Thread Profile Gages are manufactured to tolerances of +.0002”, using EDM technology. These precision gages are ideal for quickly identifying each of the different thread forms named in the API Std. 5B and Specification 7. Profile gages can also be used to perform a visual inspection of a thread form for detecting chipped inserts, stretched threads, wide first threads, or rolled over threads. Special profiles are available and quoted upon request.

Gagemaker manufactures standard ball and special application contact points and contact points.
The contact points are made of spherical carbide and are interchangeable between gages. Contact point diameters are manufactured to tolerances of +.0002”. Most gages require two contact points.
Both threaded and straight shanks are available. Threaded shanks are #4-48 UNF. Metric and special diameter contact points are quoted upon request.
